As the chilly British Winter is nearing, many housewives start thinking of the possibility to purchase extra hollowfibre duvet, or to re-stock their families so that they can dispose of worn out bedding.

Duo duvets are an excellent option, as the set contains two units of 10.5 and 4.5 Tog respectively. This allows for choosing the suitable interchangeable and detachable density for the different Winter - Summer weather conditions. Although you can always buy single duvets, double duvet sets as an economical solution.

Types of Duvets:

Synthetic : Comes with anti-allergenic microfiber or hollowfibre filling in a poly-cotton ouer.

Silk : Several layers of silk mostly encased in a pure sateen cover. They  are hypoallergenic as well as strong, breathable and long lasting.

Wool : Made using natural wool and hence you will find them warm as well as breathable.

Feather and Down : Usually duck feather or down is used to make this type of duvets.

How to choose Hollowfibre duvet:

It is important to choose the correct tog rating , that is to say, the capacity of duvets to keep warm air. It should also be borne in mind that natural fillings’ thermal capacity is better than in the case of synthetic fibre duvets. That is the reason why natural fibre duvets need less filling material so they are usually lighter than the synthetic ones, so don’t be deceived by this fact. A summer duvet should have a tog rating of 4.5, whereas Autumn/ Winter ones must have a tog between 9.0 and 13.5
